Thibaw Palace, also known as Thiba Palace, in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India, is a historical structure that was once the residence of the exiled king of Burma (Myanmar), King Thibaw Min. The British exiled King Thibaw and his queen Supayalat to Ratnagiri after the conquest of Burma in 1885. Constructed in 1910-11, the palace is a testament to the colonial architecture of the era and offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. The palace is perched on a hill in a scenic locale and is surrounded by verdant vegetation. The structure is a single-storied edifice with a semi-circular entrance and sloping roofs. Red laterite stone, which is locally sourced, was primarily used in the construction of the palace. Inside, the palace exhibits a blend of Burmese and British designs, with some furniture and photographs that date back to the time of Thibaw’s residence. Today, the palace has been transformed into a museum that showcases artifacts related to King Thibaw's life and times in Ratnagiri.

A nice view point of Ratnagiri
This place is located on a hill top near Thibaw palace. It has a garden and a nice view top from the vertical tower. There is a ticket for entry but is worth it. For the kids there are a few rides.
