Accessing Ueno Park and Zoo

By Train:

The most convenient way to reach Ueno Park and Zoo is by using Tokyo's extensive train network. The park is just a short walk from Ueno Station, which is served by multiple train and subway lines, including:

• JR Yamanote Line (Ueno Station)
• JR Keihin-Tohoku Line (Ueno Station)
• Tokyo Metro Ginza Line (Ueno Station)
• Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line (Ueno Station)

By Subway:

If you are coming by Tokyo Metro, take the Ginza or Hibiya Line and get off at Ueno Station. Once there, look for park exit signs which will lead you directly to Ueno Park.

Opening Hours

The park is open daily but has varying opening times across different months:

• Mar to Oct: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Nov to Feb: 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Note: The last admission is 30 minutes before closing, and the Park is closed on Mondays (or Tuesday if Monday is a public holiday).

Ticket Prices

Entry to Ueno Park is free, but there's an admission fee for Ueno Zoo:

• Adults: 600 Yen
• Seniors (65+): 300 Yen
• Students (13-15 years): 200 Yen
• Children (0-12 years): Free
