Warangal Fort Tourism

Warangal Fort, located in the city of Warangal, Telangana, India, is a striking example of Kakatiya dynasty architecture, rich in history and heritage. Constructed in the 13th century during the reign of King Ganapati Deva, the fort symbolizes the cultural zenith of the Kakatiya period. Although the fort lies mostly in ruins today, it still exudes a grand aura through its impressive stone gateways and intricate carvings. The fort has four ornamental gates known as Kakatiya Kala Thoranam that have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site and have also become an emblem of Telangana state.
