Wright Park is one of the many scenic parks in Baguio City, famously known as the 'Summer Capital of the Philippines' due to its cool climate. This tranquil and picturesque park is named after Luke Edward Wright, who served as the Governor-General of the Philippines at the beginning of the 20th century. An elongated strip of land located at the eastern part of the city, it features a shallow elongated rectangular body of water known as the 'Pool of Pines'. Tall pine trees and lush greenery surround this reflective pool, adding to the serene atmosphere of the place. Wright Park is especially popular for horseback riding, with horses available for rent along with guides. The park's main thoroughfare, known as Wright Park Riding Circle, is often bustling with activity and is a favorite spot for both tourists and locals. The park also incorporates the 'Mansion House' on its eastern side, which is the official summer residence of the President of the Philippines. The park's landscape, with its well-manicured lawns, colorful flowers, and native Igorot stone crafts also serves as a backdrop for photography, leisurely walks, and picnics.
