How to Reach Wuhou Shrine, Chengdu, China

The Wuhou Shrine, or Wuhou Temple, is a famous historical site in Chengdu, dedicated to Zhuge Liang, the famous military strategist and prime minister of the Shu HanDynasty. Here's how to reach the destination:

By Air

For visitors coming from outside the city, the nearest airport is Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU). Once you arrive at the airport, you can take the following transportation to reach Wuhou Shrine:

  • Taxi: A direct taxi ride from the airport will take about 30 mins depending on traffic.
  • Airport Shuttle + Public Bus: Take the airport shuttle to the city center and then transfer to public bus routes that stop near Wuhou Shrine.

By Metro

Chengdu's metro system can get you close to Wuhou Shrine. Take Line 3 and exit at Gaoshengqiao Station. From there, it is a short walk to Wuhou Shrine.

By Bus

Several public buses go to Wuhou Shrine, including:

  • Bus numbers: 1, 57, 82, 334, and 335.
  • Get off at the Wuhouci (Wuhou Shrine) bus stop.

By Private Vehicle or Taxi

If you are traveling from within Chengdu or prefer the convenience of a car, taking a taxi or driving a private vehicle is an easy option. Mention "Wuhou Shrine" or show "武侯祠" to the driver, as this is the local Chinese name.
