Yumthang Valley, often referred to as the 'Valley of Flowers', is a nature sanctuary with a river, hot springs, yaks, and grazing pasture on rolling meadows surrounded by the Himalayan mountains in the North Sikkim region of Sikkim, India. It is renowned for its beautiful landscapes, rhododendron forests, and diverse flora and fauna.

Yumthang Valley is located in the North district of Sikkim, near the Tibetan border, approximately 150 kilometers from the state capital Gangtok and at an elevation of about 3,564 metres (11,693 feet) above sea level.

The best time to visit Yumthang Valley is from late February to mid-June, when the colorful rhododendrons are in full bloom, offering a magnificent view. Tourists can also visit from September to December for clear skies and pleasant weather. However, Yumthang Valley is closed between December and March due to heavy snowfall.
