Zang Dhok Palri Phodang is a renowned Buddhist monastery situated at the summit of Durpin Hill in Kalimpong, West Bengal, India. It was consecrated in 1976 by the revered Dalai Lama and houses many rare scriptures that were moved out of Tibet. The monastery, also known as Durpin Monastery, offers a panoramic view of the surrounding hills and the snow-clad peaks of the Himalayas, along with a splendid view of the confluence of the Teesta and Rangeet rivers. The architecture of Zang Dhok Palri Phodang reflects traditional Buddhist style, adorned with intricate wall paintings that depict the life of Lord Buddha. The three-storied monastery is also a repository of a wide collection of Tibetan scriptures and texts.
