Best Time To Visit Antalya Old Town (Antalya) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Antalya Old Town, Antalya, Turkey

The ideal time to visit Antalya Old Town is during the late spring and early autumn months, primarily from April to June and from September to early November. During these periods, the weather in Antalya is typically pleasant and mild, with temperatures ranging between 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F). This makes it perfect for exploring the historic sights, wandering through the narrow streets, and experiencing outdoor cafes and markets without the discomfort of the scorching summer heat. Late spring brings the added bonus of the lush, blooming flora, while autumn provides the advantage of a quieter atmosphere after the summer crowds have departed.

Summer, from July to August, is the peak tourist season and sees a surge in visitor numbers; as a result, prices for accommodation can skyrocket. The weather during these months is hot and sunny, with temperatures often exceeding 35°C (95°F). While this might be suitable for beachgoers and sun-seekers, it can be less than ideal for those who wish to fully enjoy the historical ambiance of the Old Town. Moreover, it is essential to be conscious that Antalya can get quite crowded during summer, which might detract from the charm of strolling through the tranquil, cobblestone alleys of the Old Town. To thoroughly appreciate the region's history, culture, and beautiful Mediterranean scenery without the extreme heat or tourist throngs, the shoulder months mentioned earlier are strongly recommended.
