Best Time To Visit Baguio Cathedral (Baguio) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Baguio Cathedral, Baguio, Philippines

Baguio Cathedral, officially known as the Our Lady of the Atonement Cathedral, is one of the most iconic landmarks in Baguio City. Visiting during the dry months, from November to May, is generally the best time to plan your trip, with peak tourist activity occurring during December, January, and February. During these months, you can enjoy the crisp, cool weather that Baguio is known for, with temperatures ranging from 15 to 23 degrees Celsius. It's especially pleasant in the early mornings and evenings, offering a refreshing escape from the warmer climate found in most of the Philippines. The dry season is also the perfect time for outdoor activities, such as walking around the cathedral and exploring its beautiful surroundings without worrying about sudden downpours.

If you're looking to visit when the city is in a festive mood, plan your visit around the Panagbenga Festival, usually held in February. It's an annual flower festival that celebrates the blooming of flowers, and the city fills with vibrant colors, parades, and cultural activities. However, please note that this is also when Baguio is at its busiest, so expect larger crowds and potentially higher accommodation rates. Those seeking a more tranquil experience of the cathedral and the city might prefer the months of March and April, when the summer vacation in the Philippines begins and the city is still lively, but the Panagbenga crowds have dispersed.
