Best Time To Visit Beijing Zoo (Beijing) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Beijing Zoo

Beijing Zoo, located in the Xicheng District, is one of the oldest zoological parks in China and hosts a myriad of animal species, including the cherished Giant Pandas. The best time to visit the Beijing Zoo is during spring (April to May) or autumn (September to October). During these seasons, the weather in Beijing is mild and pleasant, with temperatures ranging between 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F), making outdoor activities comfortable for visitors. Additionally, spring brings blossoming flowers and lush greenery, while autumn delivers a backdrop of golden hues as the foliage changes color, creating wonderful scenery for your zoo adventure.

It's advisable to avoid visiting during Chinese national holidays, such as the Chinese New Year (usually late January or early February), Labor Day (May 1), and the National Day Golden Week (beginning of October), as these periods draw large crowds and can be particularly busy. Visiting on weekdays rather than weekends, and arriving early in the morning as the zoo opens can also provide a more serene experience, allowing you to view the animals when they are most active and avoid the large tour groups that often arrive later in the day. Keep in mind that the zoo's operating hours vary by season, thus checking the latest information ahead of your visit would be beneficial.
