Bhimbandh Wildlife Sanctuary, situated in the southern part of Bihar near Munger district, covers an area of around 682 sq km and is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. The terrain is hilly and is enveloped by the beautiful valleys of the Kharagpur hills. Bhimbandh is said to derive its name from a mythological dam built by Bhima, one of the Pandava brothers from the epic Mahabharata. The sanctuary is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including tigers, leopards, wild boars, sloth bears, and numerous species of birds. Several hot springs are also a unique feature of this sanctuary, with the most famous being Sita Kund. These springs are believed to have medicinal properties. The dense forests and the wilderness of Bhimbandh provide a spectacular experience for those visiting in pursuit of tranquility and adventure alike.

Went for the greens in Munger
The beauty of the green forestry and wonderful flowers of Bhimbandh Sanctuary was amazing and charming. Also, we spotted various types of beautiful butterflies, bee-hives, deers and wild-boars.
