Birla Mandir in Hyderabad is a stunning Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. The temple stands on the southern end of Hussain Sagar Lake atop the Kala Pahad, the twin hillock of Naubath Pahad. The Birla Foundation has constructed this modern architectural marvel, which was inaugurated in 1976 by Swami Ranganathananda of Ramakrishna Mission. The temple is built with 2000 tons of pure white Rajasthani marble, and the intricate carvings on the marble manifest traditional Indian temple architecture blending with modernity. The inner shrine of the deity, Lord Venkateswara, is a replica of the idol at Tirupati. Birla Mandir offers a tranquil environment for worship and meditation, along with a panoramic view of the cityscape. Due to its serene ambiance and architectural brilliance, this temple attracts thousands of devotees and tourists from different parts of the world.
