Charminar, an iconic monument situated in the heart of Hyderabad, Telangana, India, stands as a quintessential example of Indo-Islamic architecture combined with a few Persian elements. Commissioned in 1591 by Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the fifth ruler of the Qutb Shahi dynasty, the structure was intended to commemorate the founding of the city and to ward off a devastating plague. Charminar is a square structure with each side measuring 20 meters, featuring four grand arches that face the cardinal points. At each corner, there are minarets which are 56 meters high, each with four storeys. The monument is constructed using granite and lime mortar and is renowned for its intricate carvings and moldings. Over the years, Charminar has become not just a religious symbol with a mosque on its top floor but also a popular emblem of Hyderabad, attracting tourists and locals alike. The bustling bazaar surrounding Charminar, known as Laad Bazaar, is famous for its jewelry, especially bangles, and the historic culinary delights of the old city.

Good place to visit but it is a bit far from the stations. But the night view is also awesome and you can easily get a room nearby.
