Best Time To Visit Gorichen Peak (Tawang) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Gorichen Peak in Tawang

The ideal time to visit Gorichen Peak, which is one of the highest mountains in Arunachal Pradesh, is between April and June, and then later from September to October. During these months, the weather is relatively stable, providing clear skies and a lesser chance of precipitation, which is crucial for those planning to trek or climb. The daytime temperatures are conducive for outdoor activities, allowing trekkers to enjoy the mesmerizing views without the harshness of winter cold or the unpredictability of the monsoon season.

It is important to avoid the monsoon season from July to August due to heavy rainfall, which can not only make the trekking routes slippery and dangerous but also obscure the scenic beauty of the peak with thick cloud cover. Similarly, winter months from November to March are quite challenging due to extreme cold and heavy snowfall, which can lead to difficult trekking conditions and potential roadblocks. Thus, planning your visit during the recommended months will ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience when exploring the majestic Gorichen Peak.
