Govind Dev Ji Temple, situated in the heart of Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, India, is an imperative place of worship and a historical structure that dates back to the 16th century. The temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, showcases the splendid architecture of the period with intricate carvings and an imposing edifice. It is believed that the deity's image in this temple looks exactly like Krishna's form during his incarnation on Earth. The idol was originally installed in a temple in Vrindavan by the grandson of Lord Krishna's consort, Srimati Radharani. In the later years, to protect the idol from Mughal emperor Aurangzeb's onslaught, it was moved several times before being reinstalled in its current location in Jaipur.
