The Sri Ranganatha or Rangaji Temple is one of the largest and most revered temples in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, India, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Built-in the Dravidian style, it spans over 15 acres and features a tall South Indian style gopuram (monumental tower) that dominates the skyline. Traditional carvings and beautiful paintings adorn the temple walls, representing scenes from Hindu mythology. The temple complex includes a 50 feet tall gold-plated Dwajasthambha (flag post), a large water pond, and several well-maintained gardens creating a serene ambiance. Inside, the main deity is Lord Ranganatha, depicted as Lord Vishnu in a reclining position on the coils of the serpent Adishesha. Besides religious significance, the temple's architecture is an amalgamation of South Indian (Dravidian) and North Indian (Rajput) styles, reflecting the cultural harmony typical of Vrindavan, a city deeply rooted in the Vaishnava traditions. The annual celebrations like Brahmotsavam and the temple's chariot festival draw numerous devotees from across the country.
