Madan Mohan Temple, situated on the riverside of the sacred Yamuna in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, holds immense religious significance in Hinduism. The temple, perched atop Dwadashaditya Tila (the hill named after the 12 sun gods), is one of the oldest existing temples in Vrindavan and is historically linked to the saint Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s visit to Vrindavan in the 16th century. It was established by Kapur Ram Das of Multan. This revered shrine encapsulates the essence of Braj and is dedicated to Lord Krishna, worshipped here in the form of Madan Mohan. The deity was originally discovered by Advaita Acharya and later worshipped by Sanatan Goswami. The architecture is a beautiful amalgamation of Rajput and pre-Mughal styles, which is apparent in its intricately carved tower and the temple's ornate facade. Pilgrims and visitors are enchanted by the divine atmosphere and the ancient art that adorns the temple’s walls and ceiling.
