Food History of Goygol National Park, Goygol, Azerbaijan

The culinary history at Goygol and the surrounding regions of Azerbaijan is rich and diverse, drawing influence from Persian, Turkish, and Central Asian cuisines. Food is an integral part of the Azerbaijani culture, with dishes often prepared with fresh local ingredients that flourish in the region's fertile soil and favorable climate. Goygol National Park, being a natural reserve, has historically provided for the local communities with fresh fish from its lake, fruits, vegetables, and herbs from its landscapes. While meat dishes are prevalent, due to religious dietary restrictions, pork is not traditionally consumed, and due to your request, I'll avoid mentioning dishes containing cow meat.
