Gurudwara Ber Sahib is one of the most revered sites in Sikhism, holding immense historical and religious significance. Before his travels or 'Udasis', Guru Nanak worked for Daulat Khan Lodhi, the governor of the region. During his stay in Sultanpur Lodhi, it is believed that Guru Nanak would bathe in the nearby Kali Bein river and then meditate under a Ber tree (Indian jujube) for extended hours. One day, Guru Nanak disappeared into the waters of the Kali Bein and emerged after three days with the message of "Ek Onkar" signifying the oneness of God. The Gurudwara Ber Sahib stands by the Ber tree, which is believed to be the very same tree under which Guru Nanak meditated.
