Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib is a significant Sikh shrine located in Patiala, Punjab, India. The name 'Dukh Niwaran' translates to eradicator of suffering, and it is believed that anyone who prays at this gurudwara with a pure heart will have their pains relieved. The history of this gurudwara is connected to the 9th Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur, who visited the site in 1665 AD to heal the locals suffering from an epidemic. The place where Guru Tegh Bahadur rested is where the gurudwara stands today. An imposing structure with a beautiful sarovar (holy pond), it exhibits the classic Sikh architecture with its white facade, golden dome, and flags called Nishan Sahibs. This religious site attracts devotees from around the world for its spiritual ambiance and historical significance. Inside the gurudwara complex, recitations of Gurbani (holy verses) add to the serene atmosphere. The community kitchen, or Langar, serves free meals to all visitors irrespective of religion or caste.
