Sheesh Mahal, located in Patiala, Punjab, India, is a magnificent palace that was built in the 19th century during the reign of Maharaja Narinder Singh. The name 'Sheesh Mahal' translates to 'Palace of Mirrors,' which is fitting as the palace is adorned with a large number of exquisite mirrors and colored glass. The architectural style of the Sheesh Mahal reflects a blend of Mughal and Rajput elements, along with colonial influences. The walls and ceilings are beautifully decorated with frescoes that depict various themes, including Hindu mythology and the Rajput lifestyle. The palace also houses a museum that showcases a rich collection of artifacts, paintings, and sculptures, giving visitors a glimpse into the royal heritage of Patiala. The surrounding garden, known as the 'Baradari Garden,' adds to the beauty of the palace with its lush greenery, water features, and a statue of the Maharaja Narinder Singh.
