Qila Mubarak Complex, located in the heart of Patiala, Punjab, India, is a rare and outstanding example of Sikh Palace Architecture in India. Built by Maharaja Ala Singh in 1764, this historical fortress is famed for its robust but elegant design reflecting a blend of Mughal and Rajput architectural styles. The complex comprises the Qila Androon (Inner Fort), the Ran-Baas (guesthouse), and the Darbar Hall (Divan Khana), which now houses the famous Patiala School of Arts. Qila Mubarak also showcases an impressive collection of Chandeliers, Armory, Royal Portraits, and the richly decorated Mirror Room. The Darshani Gate, with its imposing façade, acts as the grand entrance to the complex. The fort's wall narrates tales of the grandeur of the Patiala Royals. Despite its old age, the fortification stands proudly, retaining its majestic aura, making it a valuable heritage for Punjab and a significant attraction for history buffs and tourists alike.
