Unlike other locations on the route to the shrine, there is no mythological significance attached to Himkoti; however, it is chosen by many pilgrims and tourists for its scenic beauty and peaceful environment. The area has been developed by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and features well-maintained gardens, a meditation center, and a restaurant serving refreshments. The viewpoint also has a man-made pond which adds to the serenity of the location. It's a fantastic place for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers who wish to capture the essence of the Himalayas.
