Kagoshima Airport is the nearest airport to Iso Teien. Once you arrive at the airport, you can take a bus, rent a car, or get a taxi to reach Kagoshima City. The journey by road might take approximately 40 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic conditions.
If you're coming from other parts of Japan, such as Tokyo, you can take the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Kagoshima Chuo Station. From there, you can take either a city tram or a bus to get closer to Sengan-en.
The Kagoshima City Tram is an efficient and scenic way to travel within the city. Take the tram to the "Iso" tram stop. From here, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a shuttle bus directly to Iso Teien.
Local buses run from Kagoshima Chuo Station and other major points in the city to Sengan-en. Look for the bus heading towards "Sengan-en Mae", which stops right in front of the entrance.
