Jajmau, also known as the Mound of Jajmau, is an ancient mound situated on the eastern outskirts of Kanpur city, Uttar Pradesh, India. It holds immense archaeological significance, as it is believed to date to between the 600 BCE to 1600 CE period. Historical findings indicate that the site has been a center for human activity since the time of the Vedic period, and it was once known as Siddhapuri. Jajmau is home to the ancient Siddhnath and Siddha Devi temples, which attract pilgrims and tourists alike. Additionally, Jajmau houses the mausoleum of a Sufi saint, Makhdum Shah Ala-ul-Haq, built by Firoz Shah Tughlaq in the 14th century, along with a mosque constructed by Kulich Khan in 1679.
