Understanding the Seasons at Jogyesa Temple

Jogyesa Temple, located in the heart of Seoul, South Korea, is a significant site for Zen Buddhism and attracts visitors all year round. However, the best time to visit Jogyesa Temple is during the late spring and early autumn. Specifically, the months of May and September offer pleasant weather with moderate temperatures, making it comfortable to explore the temple grounds and participate in outdoor activities.

During these months, the temple's surroundings come alive with vibrant colors. In May, the spring blooms are at their peak, casting a picturesque setting perfect for photography. Furthermore, visiting during the Buddha's Birthday in May is particularly special as the temple is adorned with thousands of colorful lanterns for the Lantern Festival, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. Although the temple is a place for tranquility and meditation, visiting Jogyesa during these peak seasons provides a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural festivities.
