By Air

The closest airport to Kagoshima City is Kagoshima Airport (KOJ). From the airport, you can take the Kagoshima Airport Limousine Bus directly to Kagoshima-Chuo Station in the city center. The journey takes about 40-50 minutes. Another option is to rent a car at the airport and drive to the city, which gives you the flexibility to explore the region at your own pace.

By Train

If you're coming from another Japanese city, you can take the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Kagoshima-Chuo Station. From there, the museum is just a few stops away on the city tram.
