The Khumbu Glacier is one of the iconic natural wonders within the Sagarmatha National Park, situated in the northeast of Nepal. Due to the extreme weather conditions that can occur in the high Himalayas, the optimal time for visiting the Khumbu Glacier is during the pre-monsoon spring months of April and May, or the post-monsoon autumn months of late September to November. During these months, the weather is generally stable and provides clearer skies with fewer clouds obstructing the majestic views of the surrounding peaks. Spring brings the added bonus of blossom, particularly the beautiful rhododendrons, adding a splash of color to the landscape.
