Best Time To Visit Ko Phi Phi Lee (Krabi) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Ko Phi Phi Lee, Krabi, Thailand

The idyllic island of Ko Phi Phi Lee in Krabi, Thailand, is a tropical paradise that is best enjoyed during its dry season, which typically spans from November to April. During this period, the weather is at its most favorable, boasting clear, sunny skies, and lower humidity levels, making it ideal for outdoor activities and beach relaxation. The daytime temperatures hover around 30°C (86°F), while the evenings are comfortably cool. This is also the peak tourist season, so while the island becomes quite lively with a bustling atmosphere, visitors can expect higher prices and more crowded attractions, especially at renowned spots like Maya Bay.

If you prefer a quieter experience with fewer tourists and don't mind occasional rain showers, consider visiting during the shoulder months of October or May. Although there is a higher chance of rainfall as these months mark the transition between the monsoon and dry seasons, you will still experience many sunny days. This time also offers the advantage of less crowded sights and lower accommodation rates. However, it's essential to note that the monsoon season, which runs from May to October, brings heavy rainfall, rough seas, and may not be suitable for beachgoers and those wanting to partake in water activities as boat tours might be limited due to safety concerns.
