Best Time to Visit Krang Suri Waterfall in Jowai, Meghalaya

Krang Suri Waterfall, one of the most picturesque waterfalls of Meghalaya, is situated in the Jaintia Hills district close to Jowai. The best time to visit Krang Suri Waterfall is during the post-monsoon season, spanning from September to December. This is when the monsoon rains have filled the waterfall to its fullest capacity, causing it to showcase its grandeur to the fullest. The water appears incredibly clear and takes on a beautiful turquoise hue. The weather during this period is quite pleasant; neither too cold nor too hot, making it ideal for swimming in the natural pool or engaging in photography.

Visiting during the peak of the monsoon season, from June to August, might be challenging due to the heavy rainfall which can make access difficult and dangerous owing to slippery paths and the potential for flash floods. Moreover, the waterfall's natural beauty can be obscured by the heavy downpour and the surge of water. If you are looking for a quieter experience, you might consider the winter months, from December to February, when tourist flow is less; however, the water level is also significantly lower during this time. Additionally, during the spring months, from March to May, the scenery around the falls is quite vibrant, but it is important to note that the flow of the waterfall might not be as impressive as in the post-monsoon period.
