Magnetic Hill is a gravity hill located near Leh in Ladakh, India. The hill is alleged to have magnetic properties that can pull cars uphill and is a phenomenon that has been experienced by tourists for years. Situated at an altitude of 14,000 feet above sea level on the Leh-Kargil-Baltik national highway, it's surrounded by the beautiful Sindhu River. The optical illusion created by the layout of the surrounding land makes the slight downhill slope appear as an uphill slope, thus vehicles in neutral gear may appear to roll upwards against gravity. This unique feature is also highlighted by the strategic location of the Indian Air Force aircraft navigation assistance signage on a nearby hill. Moreover, the picturesque backdrop of the Himalayas offers tourists a mystic sense of wonder, making it a popular stop for travelers in Ladakh. Apart from the hill's allure, the region is a gateway to various treks and monasteries like the famous Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, which is nearby.

Magnetic pull

Nothing Magnetic

Dont know whats the fuss around magnetic hill there. We didn't felt anything, even tried to stop the car on the point and nothing happened. Just a very hyped place.

A short amusement on the main road
