Best Time To Visit Malgund (Ganpatipule) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Malgund, Ganpatipule

Malgund, a small village near the famous pilgrimage town of Ganpatipule in Maharashtra, India, is best visited during the winter season which extends from November to February. During this time, the weather is pleasant with minimal rainfall, making it ideal for beach activities and sightseeing. The temperatures range from a comfortable 20°C to 30°C. The cool breeze from the Arabian Sea ensures a comfortable outing for tourists exploring the town’s attractions, including the birthplace of the famous Marathi poet Keshavasuta and the serene beaches. This period is also perfect for pilgrimages to the ancient Swayambhu Ganpati Temple, due to the moderate climate.

Another favorable time to visit is the early summer season from March to early June before the heat becomes intense. During these months, you can enjoy the local cuisine and the picturesque sunsets. However, as the temperatures start to rise, reaching up to 35°C in May, it can become quite hot, especially during mid-day. Tourists are advised to wear light clothing, stay hydrated, and apply sunscreen while going out. Despite the heat, the summer season is a time when you can enjoy mangoes, which the region is famous for. On the other hand, visiting during the monsoon season from June to September is usually not recommended due to heavy rainfall, which may restrict outdoor activities and travel to the area.
