Best Time To Visit Malik Deenar Mosque (Bekal) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Malik Deenar Mosque in Bekal, Kerala

The Malik Deenar Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in India, stands elegantly in Thalangara, near the town of Kasaragod in Kerala. The best time to visit the mosque is from October to March when the weather in Kerala is most pleasant. During these months, the climate is relatively dry and cooler, with temperatures ranging between 17°C and 32°C, which makes for an ideal setting for exploration and prayer. Visitors can comfortably enjoy the architectural beauty and serene atmosphere of the mosque without the hindrance of the heavy rains or the scorching summer heat typical of the region.

Avoid planning your visit during the monsoon months from June to September as Kerala experiences substantial rainfall, which might hinder outdoor activities and travel plans. Additionally, for those keen on witnessing the cultural aspects of the mosque, the Uroos festival — a grand celebration held once every three years — attracts pilgrims from all over. This celestial festival is marked by a series of religious ceremonies and can be a profound time for tourists to immerse themselves in the spiritual and cultural environment of the region while engaging with the local traditions of Kerala.
