By Train (S-Bahn)

S-Bahn lines S1, S2, S3, S4, S6, S7, and S8 all service the Marienplatz station. This station is a central hub and layover for the Munich S-Bahn network. To arrive here, simply board one of the above lines and exit at Marienplatz station. The New Town Hall is just a short walk from the station exit.

By Underground (U-Bahn)

Marienplatz can also be reached by Munich's U-Bahn network. The lines U3 and U6 stop at Marienplatz station which is located directly underneath the square. The exits of the U-Bahn station lead directly into the pedestrian zone with the New Town Hall being easily visible upon ascent.
