Mary's Island, also known as Coconut Island and Thonsepar, is a set of four small islands in the Arabian Sea off the coast of Malpe in Udupi, Karnataka, India. They are known for their distinctive geological formation of columnar basaltic lava, which has crystallized into hexagonal columns and split into vertical cracks over time due to volcanic activity. This unique feature gives it a semblance to the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland and is a fascinating sight for geologists and tourists alike. The islands are surrounded by great blue waters and are covered with coconut palms and lush greenery, providing a serene and exotic ambiance. Historically, it is believed that in 1498, Vasco da Gama landed on one of these islands before reaching the port of Malpe. The island is uninhabited, and it's a great place for a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. A ferry ride from Malpe Beach is the only way to reach Mary's Island, which showcases the beauty of the sea en route.

Very good experience
Very good view and clean water. Lot of sea shells and kids will have fun in collecting them. Need to book tickets prior and chances of having vacant seats on the spot are less.

One of the worst uncleaned island. Not worth for money.
Worst beach. Organizers must learn from Padubidri beach. Atleast they should keep the beach clean. Not at all worth for money
