History of Tourism in Mohali

Tourism in Mohali has primarily been driven by its proximity to Chandigarh, often regarded as a gateway to the hills of Himachal Pradesh. However, in recent years, Mohali itself has become a destination for visitors interested in cricket, technology, education, and now, its culture.

With the establishment of the Mohali Museum, the city has also started attracting history buffs and cultural aficionados. Although the museum is a comparatively new addition to Mohali's tourist landscape, it is gaining prominence due to its exhibits that showcase the regional history, art, and culture of Punjab.
