Step 1: Getting to Nepal

Step 2: From Kathmandu to Lukla

Once in Kathmandu, you must make your way to Lukla, the gateway to Mount Everest. You have two main options:

  1. Flight: The quickest way is to take a short domestic flight from Kathmandu to the Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla. This is a popular route, so booking your flights well in advance is recommended.
  2. Trek or Drive: If you prefer ground travel, you can choose to trek from Jiri to Lukla or drive to Salleri and then trek to Lukla. These methods will take much longer but offer a unique way to acclimate and experience the region.
