By Air

Nanjing Lukou International Airport (NKG) is the nearest airport to the city. After arriving at the airport, you can take the following modes of transportation to reach the Nanjing City Wall:

  • Metro: Take Line S1 to Nanjing South Railway Station, then transfer to Line 3 towards Linchang Station and exit at Daxinggong Station. The city wall is a short walk from there.
  • Taxi: You can hire a taxi directly from the airport to the city wall. It's about a 40-minute ride depending on traffic conditions.
  • Bus: Airport buses are available and can drop you at various points in the city where you can catch local transport to the city wall.

By Train

Nanjing has two major railway stations: Nanjing Railway Station and Nanjing South Railway Station. Both stations have excellent connections to major cities in China. After arriving at either station, take the metro or a taxi to reach the Nanjing City Wall.

By Road

If you are coming from nearby cities or provinces, you may choose to drive or take a long-distance bus to Nanjing. Once in the city, local buses, taxis, and the metro can all bring you to the Nanjing City Wall.

By Metro

Nanjing's well-connected metro system is a convenient way to reach the Nanjing City Wall. The nearest metro station is Daxinggong Station on Line 3. From the station, the city wall is within walking distance.
