Naulakha Palace, widely known among locals as Naulakha Mandir, is a historical palace located in Rajnagar near Madhubani in Bihar, India. It was built by Maharaja Rameshwar Singh and is situated around 17 km from Madhubani town. The architecture of Naulakha Palace parades the Indian and Mughal styles with intricate designs and detailed work. Unfortunately, the majestic palace was partially destroyed during the catastrophic earthquake of 1934, which rattled Bihar. Despite its diminished structure, the remains of the palace still exude grandeur and house the idols of goddess Kali and Durga. It stands as a testament to the royal history of the region and attracts visitors who are interested in historical architecture and the erstome princely states of India. The complex also includes a beautiful garden and a Radha-Krishna Temple. The remnants of the palace compound, with its broken walls and arches, carry an air of nostalgia and historic beauty, having witnessed the ebbs and flows of time.
