The Nepali Temple, also known as Kathwala Temple, is a quaint and intricately carved wooden temple located in Lalita Ghat, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. The Temple, built in the Nepalese style of architecture, is an exquisite reflection of craftsmanship and is unique to the region. Its pagoda-style structure and woodwork is said to resemble the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal. The temple was constructed in the 19th century by the King of Nepal and continues to stand as an example of cultural exchange between India and Nepal. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Nepali Temple holds significant religious importance. The temple area also features a serene garden and ghats, where pilgrims can often be seen performing rituals and prayer ceremonies along the holy Ganges. The wooden beams and pillars are embellished with images of various deities and mythological creatures, showcasing excellent Nepalese craftsmanship.
