The Nuranang Waterfall, also known as Bong Bong Falls, is one of the most stunning waterfalls in the Northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, India. Situated about 40 kilometers from Tawang town, this spectacular waterfall cascades from a height of approximately 100 meters. The best time to visit Nuranang Waterfall is during the moderate temperate months, which are from late spring to early summer (April to July), when the weather is pleasant, and the waterfall is in its full glory. During these months, the snow from the mountains melts and feeds into the waterfall, making it a breathtaking sight.
Additionally, the period of post-monsoon (late September to October) is also ideal for visiting Nuranang Waterfall. The monsoon rains that occur from June to September contribute to the waterfall's voluminous and vibrant flow, but traveling during the monsoon itself can be challenging due to the heavy rains and the potential for landslides in this mountainous region. By late September to October, the rains subside, leaving the waterfall surrounded by lush greenery and blossoming flowers, offering spectacular views and a suitable environment for trekking and sightseeing.
