Reaching Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

By Car: Pinnawala is approximately 90 km east of Colombo. It takes about 2.5 hours by car to reach Pinnawala from Colombo. You can hire a taxi or a private vehicle to get there directly.
By Bus: There are regular buses from Colombo (from the Central Bus Stand) that travel to Kegalle. From Kegalle, you can take another bus or a tuk-tuk to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
By Train: You can catch a train from Colombo to Rambukkana station. Pinnawala is about 2km away from Rambukkana. From there, you can hire a tuk-tuk to take you to the orphanage.
