Preah Khan, located in Siem Reap, Cambodia, is a fascinating temple complex built in the 12th century during the reign of Khmer King Jayavarman VII. This significant archeological site was once a combination of a city, temple, and Buddhist university, housing over 1,000 teachers at its peak. The name 'Preah Khan' translates to 'sacred sword,' reflecting its historical importance. Covering an area of about 56 hectares, the temple complex is surrounded by a moat and features a unique flat design with a series of concentric galleries. Many parts of the temple stand unrestored, engulfed by the surrounding jungle, which adds to its enigmatic charm. Intricate carvings and bas-reliefs adorn its walls, depicting Hindu and Buddhist deities and scenes from ancient mythology. Preah Khan is part of the Angkor Archaeological Park and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is less crowded than the famous Angkor Wat, offering a more serene experience to visitors who wander through its corridors and courtyards, exploring the delicate balance between nature and architecture.
This temple we enjoyed going through. Once again our guide informed us of the many stories to go with the temple along with all the restoration still to be accomplished etc.

Unique hallway design
The temple was less complex than the others. Since most of its buildings has collapsed. But the hallway design was very unique & beautiful.
