Ta Prohm is a temple complex in Siem Reap, Cambodia, enveloping ancient stones with giant tree roots which create an eerie yet fascinating atmosphere. One of the most iconic temples in the Angkor Archaeological Park, Ta Prohm stands unique with its blend of nature and architecture. Dating back to the late 12th and early 13th centuries, it was originally named Rajavihara (Monastery of the King) and served as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university. Unlike many other Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm has been left in much the same condition in which it was found; the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors. Ta Prohm was also used as a location in the film 'Tomb Raider', further adding to its fame. The temple is powerful evidence of the forces of nature and a must-visit for those looking to explore ancient civilizations and their relationship with the natural world.
This place is something extraordinary. You are left breathless seeing this natural beauty…don't forget to visit Ta Prohm Temple when you travel to Cambodia

Amazing - a must visit!
AMAZING. Oh the history and the story of the area. The tree roots all around, the temple itself. The monks did a walk by when we were there. This was a hard one to beat.
