The beach road is closed to vehicular traffic in the evenings, making it a vibrant spot for casual strolling, with food carts and handicraft vendors adding to the lively atmosphere. Key landmarks here include the War Memorial, the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, and the old lighthouse.
