Radha Kund is a sacred pond located in the town of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India. According to Hindu mythology, Radha Kund is where Radha and the Gopis bathed, and it's considered to be the most sacred of all holy places for Vaishnavites. The pond is accompanied by Shyama Kund, illustrating the divine love of Radha and Krishna. Hindu pilgrims from across the nation visit Radha Kund, especially during auspicious days, to take a holy dip believed to absolve one from all sins. The atmosphere is charged with devotion, with numerous small temples and shrines scattered around the area. The place is imbued with tales of the divine love of Radha and Krishna, and one can see devotees performing Parikrama (circumambulation) around the kund. The site is also a center for various festivals and fairs that are celebrated throughout the year with great enthusiasm, most notably during the month of Kartik.

Busy during Holi!
Shy the Hawkers and Scammers - it was a good visit - chaotic because of Holi. We took a cab from Vrindavan and a tuktuk as close as possible. Inflated prices due to holiday and crowds.

Good place to see
I went to collect folktales related to the region for my Folklore Project. Good place. Beware of local guides, they might create a noisy scene to extract some money from you.
