Raja Vishal ka Garh is an ancient archaeological site situated in Vaishali district of Bihar, India. Believed to date back to around 500 BCE, this historical site is considered to have been a part of the Vajjian Confederacy's court. Spread over an area of approximately 1.6 square kilometers, the remnants of Raja Vishal ka Garh serve as a testament to the ancient grandeur of the region. The site is enclosed by a huge mound and a moat which historians speculate could have been used for defense purposes. The name 'Vishal ka Garh' suggests that it might have belonged to a king named Vishal. The archaeological findings have unearthed pottery, terracotta figurines, and other artifacts signifying its past significance. An important attraction is the coronation tank, Abhishek Pushkarn, considered sacred. Vaishali itself holds a significant place in both Jain and Buddhist histories as it is where Lord Mahavira was born and Lord Buddha delivered his last sermon. The site is a beacon of ancient Indian history and attracts history buffs as well as religious pilgrims.
