The Abhishek Pushkarn, also known as the Coronation Tank, is a significant historical and archaeological site located in the ancient city of Vaishali, in the Bihar state of India. This sacred tank is believed to have been used for the coronation ceremonies of the Licchavi rulers, one of the world's first republics, which flourished in the 1st millennium BCE. The site is imbued with cultural and religious significance, often associated with Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism, who was born in Vaishali. The Coronation Tank is surrounded by lush greenery and is an important destination for both pilgrims and tourists. Nearby, one can find the Ashokan Pillar erected by Emperor Ashoka, and the remains of an ancient Buddhist monastery. Excavations at Vaishali have yielded various artifacts that testify to the site's historical richness.
