Ratan Singh Palace, located within the premises of the Chittorgarh Fort complex, is a testament to the grandeur of Rajputana architecture. The palace is believed to have been built by Ratan Singh II between A.D. 1528 and 1531. It overlooks a scenic view of a water body, likely a moat that once served as a defensive mechanism for the fort. The elegance of Ratan Singh Palace is evident in its intricate stonework, jharokhas (overhanging enclosed balconies), and the remains of the beautiful murals and frescoes that once decorated its walls. Although in ruins, the palace echoes the historical significance of the Rajput kings and queens who resided there. It was also a witness to many historical events, including the tales of the beauty of Queen Padmini and the infamous siege by Alauddin Khalji.

A Piece of the Past
There wasn't all that much to see, but the place is pretty much a scattered landscape of the bygone days. If you love the sense of history and simply exploring, this is definitely worth it.
