Kirti Stambha, also known as the 'Tower of Fame,' is a 12th-century tower situated in the Chittorgarh Fort complex in Rajasthan, India. Standing at a height of 22 meters, the tower was built by a Jain merchant Jijaji Rathod to glorify Jainism and features a seven-story structure with a narrow and steep staircase. It is adorned with Jain sculptures on the exterior and inside, the tower hosts intricate carvings and figures of various Tirthankaras - the enlightened beings in Jainism. The tower exemplifies the Solanki style of architecture and is older than the more famous Vijay Stambha (Tower of Victory) located in the same complex. This location is steeped in history and offers not only a glimpse into the spiritual past but also provides stunning views from its upper levels of the Chittorgarh city and surrounding landscape, making it a notable example of India's rich cultural heritage and an important monument for both history and religion.
